Welcome The Rea Valley Light Railway is a garden model railway based on an imaginary 2 foot narrow gauge railway that ran in the valley of the River Rea just south of Birmingham. This was before Birmingham spread its suburbs swallowing up all the outlying villages. The models are built to 32mm gauge and to a scale of around 16mm : 1ft, SM32.
The stock is a mixture of small industrial and the larger passenger and freight. Some items are models based on a full size prototype and others are freelance.
The railway was first built in the early 1980s but moved to a new site in 1998. Photographs taken at both locations can be seen in this gallery.Adverts Gallery Stats
